Places of interest on this tour

Our modern and powerful jeeps will take you to places that ordinary vehicles can’t reach and where traditional jeep tours don’t cover. Your tour leader will show you hidden treasures and off-the-beaten-track places, as well as the main top attractions of the island.

View of tas-Sanap Cliffs in Gozo.

Sanap Cliffs - Munxar

Sanap Cliffs (also referred to as Ta’ Ċenċ Cliffs) offer breathtaking coastal views across our azure blue seas, and around the islands of Comino and Malta. They are a must-see for nature lovers, with scenic trails running along the coast. Your tour leader will escort you to the best viewpoints.

View of Xlendi Bay in Gozo.

Xlendi Bay, Cliffs and Caves (pass by)

Our ride along the cliffs will lead us to a belvedere overlooking Xlendi Bay, Gozo’s charming coastal village, with deep blue waters framed by high cliffs and guarded by a watch tower built by the Knights.

The Knights' Wash houses in Fontana, Gozo.

Knight’s Washhouses - Fontana

Many visitors go from Xlendi to Victoria, but few of them stop on the way and miss out on a secret gem. That’s why our tours stop in the quaint village of Fontana, where two 16th-century public washhouses, built by the Knights of St John, are located. Fed by freshwater springs, these washhouses are still used by local villagers today!

A bird's eye view of the Citadel in Gozo.

The Citadel - Victoria

Step back in time at the Citadel, a fascinating fortified city positioned high above Gozo’s main town, Victoria. Our stop gives you sufficient time to wander through its ancient alleys and inside its beautiful Baroque Cathedral. Be sure not to miss its fascinating trompe l’œil painting, and discover other historic treasures. Take a few seconds to climb up to the bastion walls for jaw-dropping 360-degree views over Gozo.

The Ggantija temples in Gozo.

Ġgantija Temples (optional, entry fee not included)

Did you know that Gozo is home to temples older than Egypt’s Pyramids? The Ġgantija Temples are a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage site in the village of Xagħra that takes you back in ancient history. A mysterious civilisation built these two megalithic temples, which are recognised as two of the world’s oldest free-standing structures.

N.B. A stop at the temple complex is optional (and its access fee is not included in the tour price).

Entrance to Calypso's cave in Gozo.

Calypso Viewpoint (optional, instead of Ġgantija Temples)

Located in Xagħra, Calypso’s Cave is said to be the same one mentioned in Homer’s The Odyssey, where the nymph Calypso imprisoned Odysseus for seven years after his shipwreck. While the cave is closed to the public due to safety reasons, the viewpoint is the perfect place to enjoy breathtaking views of Ramla Bay and take some pictures!

Fungus Rock at Dwejra Bay in Gozo.

Dwejra Bay (Fungus Rock, Inland Sea & Watch Tower) - San Lawrenz

Next, we’ll head to one of Gozo’s most iconic places: Dwejra Bay. Once home to the famous Azure Window, a natural arch looking out to sea, which sadly collapsed after a fierce storm, Dwejra is filled with natural wonders and a historical monument. It’s no wonder that producers from the Game of Thrones TV series chose this beautiful location as a backdrop to shoot scenes for this series’ famous first season.

Basilica of the Blessed Virgin of Ta’ Pinu in Gozo.

Basilica of the Blessed Virgin of Ta’ Pinu - Għarb (pass by)

We will pass by another famous landmark you can admire in Gozo: the Ta’ Pinu Basilica and Shrine, located on the outskirts of Għarb and set against a lush countryside backdrop. This beautiful basilica has a strong religious importance, as it was built on the spot where a miracle happened.

The Xwejni salt pans at sunset in Gozo.

Xwejni Salt Pans

This is, without doubt, one of Gozo’s most photo-worthy locations. Gozo’s northern coastline is dotted with salt pans, dramatic-looking chequerboard squares cut out of the rock by locals to harvest natural sea salt from the Mediterranean Sea. In the summer, it’s often possible to witness the salt being harvested.

Marsalforn Bay in Gozo.

Qbajjar and Marsalforn Bay (pass by)

Another highlight of your adventure in Gozo will be Qbajjar and Marsalforn Bay. We will pass by these two popular seaside villages, so you can take in some of our most beautiful coastal scenery.

The Sunset Edition (Apr–Oct)
